Sacchetto Pinot Nero Trevenezie is a ripe, juicy unoaked Pinot from Italy's Veneto region. With fresh cherry and raspberry flavours, Sacchetto's is the best Pinot Noir we've tasted at this price. A light to medium bodied wine that pairs well with roasted white meats and pasta dishes.
Campo Bastiglia Valpolicella Ripasso from Ca'Rugate has concentrated aromas of red fruit cherries with a hint of spice and floral notes, together with a full bodied palate with soft tannins, an elegant silky texture and a velvety finish.
Incredibly rich and intense, this wine is undoubtedly one of the greatest Valpolicellas. Tiny vineyard yields give a hugely concentrated wine, and 50% of the berries are dried on racks for 20 days to intensify the wine's flavours, resulting in a lovely concentration with a spicy flavour and balanced freshness showing vibrant bitter cherries.
Roccolo Grassi Recioto della Valpolicella received 92 Points from world-famous Robert Parker in Feb 2011. He wrote: "Blackberry preserves, jammy blueberries, spices and new leather take shape nicely in the glass."
Intense garnet red in colour. Concentrated aromas of ripe blueberries, blackberries and cherries are enhanced with a hint of spicy oak. The palate is rich, full bodied and complex, beautifully balanced and lingering.
A rich and opulent wine, showing intense aromas of ripe dark berried fruits with a hint of bitter almond. Beautifully concentrated deep fruits are layered with nuances of elegant oak and savoury notes, through to a smooth palate, with supple tannins and a fine, lingering finish.
