Enticing perfume of ripe plums and a soft and approachable palate. A good weight of plummy fruit, well structured with firm tannins and some complexity on the finish.

|Name||Domaine de la Solitude Côtes du Rhône|
The Solitude Estate belongs to one of the oldest families in Chateauneuf du Pape. The Lancon family make their wines with a very short maceration time and therefore their style of Chateauneuf is ready to drink much younger than the traditional tough wines. Their 100 acres are planted in a simplified mixture of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah together with a small proportion of white varieties. The family also owns 100 acres of vineyards at Sabran in the Cotes du Rhone.
