More info

Cephalonia Robola Wine Cooperative (established in 1982) collects and processes almost 85% of the total produce of Robola wine grapes from 300 different growers. The island of Cephalonia is the most mountainous Ionian island and without any doubt, it hosts some of the most important vineyards in Greece.

The Robola zone mainly embraces semi-mountainous vineyards on the slopes of mount Aenos, with steep slopes, and altitude of 410m and poor gravelly limestone soils. The diurnal temperature variation at the higher altitude creates slow ripening, which allows the berries to develop flavour while retaining vital acidity.
