More info

The estate comprises 60 hectares of well located vineyard which are cultivated under the watchful eye of oenologist Dr Vittorio Festa. The vines are trained according to the traditional overhead trellis system called Pergola Abruzzese and are grown in marl and clay soils. The grapes are rigorously selected at harvest time ensuring the optimum maturity and flavour profile have been met. The Bove style is to make well-textured, mellow reds showing good typicity from the native Montepulciano grape.

The grapes underwent skin maceration for one week, before fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine was left to mature for a further 12 months in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats. 15% was aged in oak, adding subtle complexity to the final blend.
