Rioja Crianza Rivallana Bodegas Ondarre is an intense oak-aged Rioja with flavours of cherries, plums and vanilla. 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 10% Mazuela and Graciano grapes are aged in French and American oak barrels for a full year before bottling.
This 100% Sárgamuskotály, or Muscat Blanc, has delicate aromas of elderflower, complemented by subtle hints of citrus fruit. Crisp with a vivid acidity, the fruity palate shows pears, gooseberries, a hint of pineapple and an intriguing touch of freshly cut grass. Quite delicious.
Deep garnet red with purple hues. Rich and elegant, this attractive Pinot Noir combines aromas of strawberries, black cherries, raspberries and dry plums with hints of chocolate and mocha. The palate is round and soft offering a rich texture and a lush finish.
Bodegas Ondarre Rioja Graciano is a rare single varietal Rioja made only from the Graciano grape. Rioja is generally made from the Tempranillo, but here the Graciano has given a uniquely elegant, juicy wine, with flavours of ripe blueberry, plums and subtle spice.
Adega de Pegoes Touriga Nacional is made from the Touriga Nacional grape, grown in the vineyards of Portugal's Setubal Peninsula. Aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, the wine has intense, complex flavours of dark berries and spice. It is firm yet velvety, with a long finish.
A medium bodied wine with notes of raspberry and cherry with pepper and rose petal - a fresh summer red. The Xinomavro and Limnio grape varieties create wines with a deep purple colour, clean and complex bouquet, velvety smooth taste and balanced acidity.
Dogajolo Rosso IGT Toscana Carpineto - the Carpineto estate affectionately refers to Dogajolo as its "baby super-Tuscan". Made with 70% Sangiovese, and 30% Cabernet plus a secret mix of "other varieties", Dogajolo is aged in small wooden barrels to give a structured, ripe, earthy wine with hints of tanned leather.
Gaia Notios Red is made from the Agiorgitiko grape, native to Nemea, with some Syrah. It is deep and rich, yet refined, with juicy plum flavours, mixed with spicy oak and a lovely earthiness. Think Southern Italy (notably Campania) meets the Douro in Portugal!
Malvasia Nera 'Talo' Salento San Marzano is a wonderfully rich wine from Italy's Apulia region, with delicious dense flavours of vanilla and baked orange with a touch of thyme, warm and spicy on the finish.
Gaia Notios White Peloponnisos is a fascinating, full-bodied unoaked white, from the indigenous Roditis and Moschofilero grapes. Moschofilero, harvested from the Arcadian plateaux, contributes a vibrant, floral flavour while Roditis, from the Corinthian slopes, provides a smooth lemony character.
A modern styled Cahors with concentrated blackcurrant, menthol nuances and intriguing undertones of crystallised pineapple. Supple with soft, fine tannins, the aromas of fresh black fruits persist on the palate. Full bodied, but approachable with a textured finish.
Kozlovic Teran, from the Istria region of Croatia, is a fresh, medium-bodied red wine of real character. Matured in oak barrels for 8 months before bottling, it shows a combination of black fruits and bitter chocolate on the palate, reminiscent of the Refosco grape from Northern Italy.
Adega de Pegoes Colheita Seleccionada Red is a fine oak-aged blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Touriga Nacional and 10% local grape varieties. Spicy mocha and chocolate aromas with a lovely combination of ripe fruit and concentration on the palate. *Commended at the Decanter World Wine Awards*
