Bodegas Pinord + 7 Priorat 2012 is a blend of hand picked Garnacha (50%), Syrah (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) grapes. The wine is made organically and aged for 12 months in new French and American oak barrels. It is extraordinarily smooth, complex and rich, with concentrated flavours of plums, cigar box spice, herbs and cinnamon.
Complex fruity notes of red berries, sour cherry, blackcurrant and blueberry are complemented by hints of coffee beans, black chocolate and a subtle earthy character. Voluminous on the palate, with firm yet refined tannins, it is elegantly textured with a persistent and spicy black fruit finish.
A complex nose with an array of aromas from violet, lilac, black pepper and ripe berried fruits to delicate mineral tones. Harmoniously balanced with a rounded palate full of fresh, sweet and opulent fruit, this is an elegant wine with fine tannins and a long, intense finish full of character.
An outstanding aromatic concentration of ripe red fruits is complemented by toasty and smoky notes, with cocoa and pepper spice from barrel ageing. Complex and powerful, yet fine and elegant, this is a fleshy wine, with silky tannins and perfectly balanced. A wine of great character, with an everlasting finish.
