Chianti Classico San Jacopo 2016 Castello Vicchiomaggio is a traditional Chianti Classico, made from Sangiovese with 5% each of Canaiolo and Colorino grapes and aged for 6 months in large oak casks. The wine is full-bodied wine with plenty of dark cherry and spice flavours, and lovely balancing acidity.
Golden yellow, a complex nose with overtones of mature peaches, apricots and honey, and a delicate background of botrytis. Marked notes of quince jam and creamy honeyed flavours are enlivened by a good level of acidity. Rich, intense and full bodied, with a long and elegant finish where fruits and botrytis express their identity in full harmony.

Rioja Crianza Rivallana Bodegas Ondarre is an intense oak-aged Rioja with flavours of cherries, plums and vanilla. 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 10% Mazuela and Graciano grapes are aged in French and American oak barrels for a full year before bottling.

Kozlovic Teran, from the Istria region of Croatia, is a fresh, medium-bodied red wine of real character. Matured in oak barrels for 8 months before bottling, it shows a combination of black fruits and bitter chocolate on the palate, reminiscent of the Refosco grape from Northern Italy.

Villa Gutenberg Riesling Kabinett Johannisberger Erntebringer 2017, from Germany's Rheingau region, is the best Qualitatswein for this price that we have tasted. It is a medium-dry delicate Riesling with vibrant aromas of steely lime, flowers and a hint of peach.

Andeluna Malbec is aged in French and American oak barrels for 6 months before bottling. The wine shows complex aromas of cassis, violets and dark chocolate. On the palate it is firm but silky, with great body and length.
Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva (half bottles) shows intense fruit notes of wild blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and dark cherry emerge initially on the nose, gradually yielding to more pungent impressions of sage, rosemary, vanilla, and cinnamon. The wine is aged for 2 years in wooden barriques.
