In Hungary, the Majoros Family Estate is located in one of the most significant and renowned communes of the Tokaj wine region: Tarcal. This village is situated at the base of Mount Tokaj, named after the town of Tokaj. The final size of the estate, currently 6 hectares, will not exceed a maximum of 10 hectares.
Our Turkish wines are produced by Kayra, whose premium wines come from the Anatolia region - considered to be the birthplace of wine - and is at the cutting edge of winemaking in this diverse nation.
The wines are made from unique and intriguing local varieties. These indigenous varieties, whilst being ancient to Turkey are now being vinified using modern techniques and are producing award winning results. Anatolian grapes, along with international varieties, are planted in the best sites following the philosophy of terroir. The vineyards and wineries have been significantly invested in. The Elziğ winery, located in Eastern Anatolia was established in 1942 and is dedicated entirely to the production of red wines. The Şarköy Winery in Thrace was built in 1996 and embraces a cellar for 1200 barrels, reserved for the ageing of special cuvées. Under the guidance of consultant winemaker Daniel O'Donnell, it is Kayra's aim to reveal the true potential of Turkey and to bring their rich history and generous spirit to lovers of fine wine.
Chateau Ksara is Lebanon's oldest winery. Its traditions can be traced back to 1857 when a group of Jesuit monks acquired the property. The Jesuits applied their knowledge of science and agriculture to plant French vines as well as developing two kilometers of Roman caves that proved ideal for the storage of wine.
The Jesuits sold the winery to its current owners in 1973, and Ksara is now the most modern winery in the region as well as the largest producer in the country, with an annual production of over 2.8 million bottles.
Expressive aromas of jasmine are complemented by zesty citrus notes. Refreshing and beautifully balanced with a marked mineral streak, it has a complex yet attractively delicate character and a long, lifted finish.
A modern styled Cahors with concentrated blackcurrant, menthol nuances and intriguing undertones of crystallised pineapple. Supple with soft, fine tannins, the aromas of fresh black fruits persist on the palate. Full bodied, but approachable with a textured finish.
Semeli Feast White is made with 90% Moschofilero and 10% Roditis. Moschofilero is a blush coloured grape making wines with wonderful aromas of rose petals and Turkish Delight; on the palate it is dry and fresh with hints of limes and lychees. At only 12% ABV it makes a great aperitif wine.
Moutard Méthode Traditionelle Brut Blanc de Blanc is a white gold colour with abundant and fine bubbles. Aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers and minerality make this a very well balanced and versatile sparkling wine.
