Chateau Cissac Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2007 is a perfect balance of Haut-Médoc 'cigar box' austerity and ripe plum fruit. This 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot blend is aged in oak casks (40% new) for up to 20 months before bottling.
Louis Vialard inherited Château Cissac from his grandparents in 1940 and began restoring its buildings and reworking its vineyards, which are near neighbours of those of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild. Louis's daughter Danielle is now responsible for vinifications at the estate, giving its traditional winemaking methods a contemporary dynamism.
