Domaine Gerard Millet Sancerre 2010 comes from 17 hectares of hillside Sauvignon vines, producing a wine that is the epitome of Sancerrois elegance, with a delicate mineral scented nose, and beautifully rich yet subtle flavours. Gerard Millet’s family has been making wine for over 5 generations.
Situated in the commune of Bué, near Sancerre, the Millet family has been making wine for over 5 generations. The Estate covers a total of 20 hectares of vineyards, of which 17 are planted with Sauvignon Blanc and 3 are planted with Pinot Noir.
This family owned winery is not the best known outside the Loire Valley, but has an excellent local reputation. It is modern, well equipped and benefits from its own bottling line. The Sancerre produced by the estate is a traditional style, with concentrated mineral flavours.
Serve with: Shellfish, oysters, delicate white fish and goat's cheese.
