Montlouis Sec 'Quarts de Nouy' 2010 Laurent Chatenay, is a dry, organically made Chenin Blanc of top quality, from France's Loire Valley. As might be expected, the 2010 is still very young, so it is recommended that you open the wine a few hours before serving: then it will show delicate, mineral and subtly exotic aromas to compliment its rich, full palate.

Laurent Chatenay's tiny 6 hectare estate in Montlouis really is a 'boutique' winery in every sense. All grapes are grown organically and picked by hand, by successive passages, or tries, through the vineyard. The wines are never chaptalised and only indigenous yeast are used in fermentations. Vinifications are undertaken in a long, unhurried manner, consistent with the estate's uncompromisingly natural way of winemaking.

Serve with White meat, fish, spicy Asian cuisine. This is a very versatile food wine!
