Andrea di Pec Pinot Grigio 2010 is a crisp, full-flavoured Pinot Grigio from the Venezia Giulia region of North West Italy. It shows citrus fruit, apple and almond aromas, with subtle, zingy flavours. Venezia Giulia is bordered by Austria to the north and Slovenia to the east; the region makes some of Italy's most concentrated, characterful Pinot Grigios.
Andrea di Pec was the nephew of Frederico d'Attems who was Chancellor of Gorizia in 1540. Andrea was a great teacher of specialised agriculture and in particular viticulture. His Estate was located in the centre of some of the most prestigious agricultural land in Friuli. His impact on the region was such that even though the property, over the centuries, was splintered and changed hands, the name remained and is still used by the present proprietors who managed to secure the core of the original estate.
