Fixin Premier Cru 'Clos du Chapitre' monopole 2007 Guy & Yvan Dufouleur - As its name suggests, Premier Cru Clos du Chapitre is an ancient monastic vineyard, owned in its entirety by Guy & Yvan Dufouleur. Characteristic of Fixin, this wine shows aromas of intense spiced cherry, with firm, grainy tannins on the palate and complex, earthy flavours.
For over 400 years, through perseverance and innovation, Dufouleur Père & Fils has consistently obtained the very best from the vineyards of Burgundy.
It was in the small, but now world famous, village of Nuits St Georges, just South of Dijon, that the family first began making wines. The Dufouleur legacy began with Gilles Dufouleur, born in 1596, and continues to the present day.
Today the estate covers 30 hectares of vineyard in 11 different appellations, between Fixin in the Côte de Nuits (south of Dijon) to Santenay at the southern tip of the the Côte de Beaune.
